GrapHIC DESIGNER + SCREEN PRINTER

Amy Jo is a designer and printmaker. Hailing from a corn farm in North Dakota, Amy Jo designed her way to Minneapolis, bringing with her a love of vintage catalogs, ancient mythology, and glitter.

Combining her design skills and love of music, she went on to become one of the leading ladies of the burgeoning rock poster world. She has created hundreds of posters for venues around the world and musicians as varied as Patti Smith and the Melvins. Amy Jo has exhibited her work at galleries both locally and in such far flung locales as Norway and Portugal.

In 2007, Amy Jo opened Who Made Who, her storefront printmaking studio in NE Minneapolis. She has designed for many beloved Minnesota institutions such as Peace Coffee, First Avenue, Minnesota Rollergirls, and Utne Reader. Amy Jo’s work has been published in The Art of Modern Rock, Venus Magazine, City Pages, and Print Magazine.

Amy Jo’s hand screen-printed posters and art prints emphasize humor, nostalgia, and the random surprises encountered in the printmaking process. She has a unique ability to create original works of art by combining design aesthetics of bygone eras with a modern sensibility. Her experience as a printmaker and versatility as a graphic designer qualify her to work on a wide range of projects.

In addition to her design and print work, Amy Jo enjoys teaching workshops and drawing with her daughter while watching vintage episodes of Scooby Doo.
